Default Turbo =No, Supercharger =Go!

As you may have read in my previous threads, i have been investigating what forced induction will suit and fit my UK 350z.
I was looking at the power enterprise, but that kit is not complete enough for the UK, as we dont have the facilities to tune the car like you do in the US.
So, with that in mind, I'm going to be ordering the Vortech Supercharger in the next couple of days
As this kit comes complete with the fuel/timing equipment I need to run a safe install.
I will still obviously get the car checked on the dyno, but my tuner doesnt have the R4 software required to change the settings on the splitsecond box. Does this piggyback unit communicate through the ECU diagnostic port for those with the laptop software???
I guess the software (R4) is pretty expensive as well?? could anyone shed any light on this, please???
As the kit is set for a safe level out of the box, I will be happy with a reliable setup rather than the maximum power i can drag out of it. The octane in the UK is pretty good for juice, with super being 98RON, so I should be ok.

Cant wait to get this on!

The Split Second box splices into the OEM ECU harness. Go to the Vortech website and you can download the install instructions. I have heard that you can get the R4 software for about $20 from SplitSec.com but, I have not confirmed.

Ordered the software from splitsec, $20
At least I now have the security of having my kit tuned.

19.99 for the R4 software direct from Split Second. You will need to tune the VORTECH kit.........comes from the factory very rich...........and rich is almost as bad as to lean.
