It's not simply because it has external wastegates: It's because it's a V6 and V6s with open dual exhaust sound like ***. There are plenty of cars running external wastegates that sound awesome - mostly 4cylinder, inline 5s, and inline 6s though. There are few V6s that sound good with loud exhaust. Yes, it is personal preference but it's hard to believe ANYONE would find that obnoxious staccato enjoyable. Seriously consider re-routing the wastegates or doing something so your $35k car doesn't sound like a heap. Just a suggestion.
Congrats on the performance upgrade.
I have a lot of words that could describe you, but i wont stoop to your level. Your wrong about everything though. That sound IS the open wastegates PERIOD. The dual exhaust on a tt v6 setup is NOT the cause of a bad sound, theres tons of people running it and they sound just like the single exhaust tt z you saw in that footage. The single is just 1 pipe with a full 3inch (maybe 3.5) diameter instead of two pipes of a lesser diameter. Search around troll... you will find that most tt z's are running dual exhaust setups as well

my car is in the IMV films video... it is NOT a Greddy kit. it is custom. it has open wastegates, and a 3" turbo-back exhaust.. to a single HKS carbon/Ti canister...

i think mine sounds better too, btw.

Thanks for the correction on the kit you have. Yes, your car sounds great. Since it's the same engine I'm surprised the G sounds less appealing.

I'll ignore the child above you who is trying to bait me into flames with his poor grammar and failed logic.

Poor grammar and failed logic? That is the pot calling the kettle black if you ask me.. I dont want to trick you into flames, I have much better things to do with that. The fact that your being an ******* to someone and acting completely rude in front of him is wrong, thats my only point in this. Well, that and the fact that your telling us v6 with dual exahaust and turbos sound bad.

Failed logic / hypocrisy:

Telling me I'm uneducated and wrong regarding my opinion of the G's exhaust sound, yet in the same breath claiming "it is all a matter of preference". No kidding it's preference: I was sharing mine and you attacked me for it.

Saying you won't "stoop to my level" when I've done nothing exhibiting a lower level of posting, and then calling me names such as "troll" and "*******" while actually being the troll and 'a$$' yourself.

This is why I rarely post around here - too many people with a stick up their **** looking for a fight when there's no reason for one. Please think before you post again, and stop being an antagonist.

Yeah, your the ultimate authority

These videos aren't here to start flame wars guys, just to show that there is more appreciation for the G35 and that another tuner has gone with forced induction and succeded.

Oh and YOU MUST be. Lets ask the rest of the board what they think about 6.5 PSI on T3s with ZERO timing adjustment.

Why does Greddy/Trust have ZERO timing adjustment at 5.7 PSI?

Oh no the Spec-V thread again:^) Unfortunately there isnt anything that can change the fact that the Spec-v motor is a turd. There are grenading left and right with no turbo. If you turbocharge it you are taking a big risk.Sometimes it pays off and sometimes it doesnt. That is the world of performance. Now for the G35/350Z kit...........well I can say one thing for sure.It hasnt blown up.It drives smoothly and flawlessly and it sounds awesome. The video footage I shot was with a Canon digital camera that can record about 30 seconds of video. The resolution is not that great either. So now we have the G kit and it works and no catastrophies.Oh then there is the Altima/Maxima kit and it works great with no catastrophies.
