Just curious, does the AEM wideband unit provide a free air calibration? The reason I ask is because your O2 sensor should be calibrated to your particular elevation. Perhaps it's an automatic calibration, but I was just curious about this.

Here is the quote from the AEM A/F instruction booklet:

"Each AEM UEGO sensor is individually calibrated and a resistor integral at the connector body is laser trimmed with this value. This process replaces the traditional "free air" calibration when changing sensors and implements a sensor specific calibration for unparalleled accuracy."

So I guess the answer to your question is "no".

Aaah, I see thanks. I didn't think they'd forget about something like that. Just didn't know how they did it.

Ok, after studying the manual, I see that the guage has a measurable range of 11.00 to 16.75. So when I am WOT, I am definately under 11.00 which is why it's not registering a value.

Your display is nicer if that makes you feel any better.

Seriously, I've mentioned it on numerous threads, but the Techedge is the best bang for the buck wideband available as long as you can put up with the display.

Oh and a correction, the Techedge will actually measure and display from 8:1 - 45:1 A/F ratio, but the voltage out for an aux engine management system is only 9:1 - 18:1

Yeah...I guess you are right. Also, once properly tuned, F/I cars shouldnt be running richer than 11:1

Default Calibration

o3_ppw

I found another calibration table in the instruction manual. not sure which on is correct. so if the one I posted is not accurate, the use this conversion factor. Lemme know which one ends up working.

.5 Volts equal 11.00:1
3.375 Volts equals 16.75:1
