anybody have test pipes with a vortech, if so is it loud, does it smell, im looking at getting pipes.

 

I don't ahve the ATI installed yet but I do have my XERD headers installed (headers and test pipes in 1) and it is already pretty loud....I imagine with that much more air exitingso quickly(not to mention I have a Stillen exhaust) it's gonna get louder with the SC install.

I have Helix Test Pipes........they sound very robust and powerfull at the right RPM but at the wrong RPM they kinda get a little raspy sounding. If I had to do it again, I would. As far as smell, I cant smell so cant help you there....... , smells perfect to me!!!!!


I got them mainly because I think it will be easier to increase my HP with them. Also my tuner said the check engine light would come on with them, no big deal........my light has not come on after 200 miles........


I give the setup a 8 out of 10.
