Fluidz,

I've not even got my kit yet, but I have the software and have had a play around with it.
Do you mean that you want to make a copy of the original map that you have now? and keep it for safekeeping??

Fluidz, you probably know this by now but you do the following:

(1) Choose File | New Customer and give it a file name
(2) You then choose File | Open Customer and choose the file you specified in step 1
(3) Choose the correct COM port and click the Connect to ECU button
(4) Click Maps | Fuel maps from the menu
(5) Click the Load from ECU button on the Fuel map screen.
(6) Close the fuel map window and Exit the program
(7) Make a backup copy of the MDB file

HTH.

before you down load maps you must set the settings. if you don't it won't down load them. go to options engine 6 cyl. 4 str. then to settings. vacuum/ pressure programmable signal cal. is what you want. after you have done this know you can down load the maps. it will down load the rest once you do these settings.

injector controller is for controlling additional injectors. ss makes alot of diffirent stuff and r4 is the software for all of it. so some of the setting have nothing to do with what we are doing.

are you saying that the vortech map is set to Pressure/vacuum, etc in the box from vortech, and when i upload it under new file name that if i dont set the settings to what you said it will default my settings to adjustable injector, etc? If so how do you know this info just out of curiosity.

because mark at ss walked me through the software and all the settings. he is the owner and creater of the box. i have spend at least an hour on the phone with him as he helped me out. why don't you call me so i can explain in detail to you.
