Default i hate my 6 speed!

i cant stand driving my 6speed car. i have always been a serious drag racer im always at the track etcc.. i cant stand the 6 speed. i have always had bulit autos that are consistent at the track with bad *** stall converters. for those of you that are intrested i am having a th-350 with a good stall put in the car! i dont know of any other 350's who have even converted to anything like this. there is a company intown who is very capable of this and will be doing the adapter plate for e and fitting it. at this point i have decided to keep the car and go all out with it. i will be lowering the compression on the motor also whithin the next few weeks. i have never been a good driver with the manual tranny so i will put what im use to in the car and i know i will be happy with it. what are your thoughts on this. another plus is i will be able to leave on boost!

As long as you are happy!

I personally prefer tha manny tranny, but I like twisty races, and the solid connection of the clutch makes things much easier to control for me.

It will be interesting to hear how your conversion goes.

Remember that some people have had problems with the Auto shifting a bit to slowly causing the Rev Limiter to kick in. You may want to take steps to insure that won't happen to you, since you have a higher power car.

Good luck, and have fun!

they have that problem becuz of the computer control of the tranny a th-350 is gonna be a full manual valvebody ie it wont shift unless i shift it. it is in no way connected to the factory ecu. i know the supra guys are running th400 in there cars but they are a little heavier. i would rather use the 350 for my car. i will be posting the whole prcess as it goes.

12secz and I will both have high stall converters in our Z's by the end of the week. We are both over 400 rwhp.

PPW: Good luck with your conversion. Just so you know, I have never had an auto sports car until this one. My last car was a 6MT single turbo supra from sound performance. Before that I had a Dodge Stealth RT with nos. I drove both the 6MT and 5AT 350Z and chose the 5AT without hesistation. Eventhough my supra buddies give me a hard time, I prefer the 5AT and would make the same choice again.
