R4 tuning, withOUT fujitsubo installed
brethern--
timing is everything (no pun intended)
my vortech timeline is as follows:::
*car had just over 500 miles on it, and initial break-in is completed (enuf)
*vortech scheduled to arrive this week, or, next (at latest)
*crawford v5 "" "" "" (see last comment)
*install/setup of plen and blower to be done asap (for obvious reasons!! i cant wait!!)
NOTES:::
UNINSTALLED the borla TD system, and sold it... have reverted to oem setup for now... feel the borla is not the sound i was after, nor the tips appearance.... I have been shopping online for the fujitsubo exhaust and Y pipe, but havent found the deal / shipping i am comfotable with yet...... guess i need to jnust pull the dang trigger, and get in line ASAP!!
*back to the timeline*
*dynotune preliminarily to be done 1-3 days after the blower install - with drivetime to be done to make certain the install is satisfactory (min to no boost to be introduced (lol?)while vortech supplied r4 map is used)
*fujitsubo will take 1-2 months to get in full, so it looks like my initial trip to the dyno will be with the stock exhaust system...
DILEMA:::
will the future Fuji system require a new trip to the dyno??? i know the changes will be measurable, so im guessing "yes" is the answer....
would it be better to wait on the r4 dyno tune, and use the vortech setup AS-IS until the fuji arrives??? Im just unsure how safe/effective the vortech r4 mapping is, out of the box....
help... (as you can see, im running in circles!!)
thanks in addvance
