Default FI with stock tires?

Is it a waste of time to install the Vortech without getting wider tires? I am ready to do this, but I may wait if I have to buy new wheels and tires. I guess I am wondering how bad my traction issues will be. Is there anyone running the Vortech kit with stock tires? Thanks.

Running Vortech with stock tires right now. I have a G with stock 18" tires (until Friday!). Now that it's warm, the traction is OK. The only real issue is if I break traction in 1st I shoot right up to rev limiter every time. But with a little dicipline, stock tires are fine. But, if you really want to take advantage of ALL of the power, wider, stickier tires are a must.
