Fixing Boost/Exhaust leaks....
Hey
I am interested in getting a turbo kit, but I am a little worried about how tight the fitment is on some of these kits!
I had a 240sx with a SR20 and it was pretty easy to fix any boost or exhaust leaks because the amount of room I had in the engine bay. But, with the 350z it seems like it will be a huge PITA to fix minor things such as boost/exhaust leaks.
If anyone had run into these problems, how hard are they to take care of with the amount of room in the 350z?
How often do you think things like this will occur on a n/a car tuned for turbo performance?
What are some things you should do to prevent leaks?
On my SR20, I changed out every gasket from the block to the exhaust to copper/metal gasket instead of that stiff cardboard gaskets....this way, I wouldnt have to replace the gasket everytime I had a leak, I could just go and tighten the bolts.

Once properly installed, you should never have to worry about leaks. The gaskets will last indefinately.
Some Greddy folks had difficulty getting the wastgate gaskets to line up correctly, and tightened sufficiently. Hence..minor exhuast leaks.
But yes, if you discover a leak, it is not easy to access the bolts and area you need to work on.
