Default Will Using A Lightened Flywheel Make Boost Kick In Faster On A Ati And Vortech?

From reading people threads it seem that the boost does not kick in til 4,000 rpm on prochargers and vortechs. If this is the case, will a lighter flywheel cause boost to kick in faster since the engine revs faster or will it still reach boost at 4k but just faster? It seems that if the car is pretty docile(stock) up to 4k then you only have 2,500rpm before you hit redline, You would think if your going to spend 4,500.oo on a system you should be able to enjoy boost in lower in the power band. What would be the max you could move you rev limiter with out worrying about spun bearrings so you could enjoy boost longer not for just 2,500 rpms. Thanks

P.S a stillen is not an option for me thanks.

You'd possibly get to the boost range a little quicker, but it would not expand your boost range so that you would hit boost at a lower rpm.

Honestly, I don't think you would notice the difference of the flywheel as much as you would in an NA application, tho.

I have FI and a light flywheel. No, you don't get more boost--but I find it MUCH easier to rev-match when downshifting.
