Question Greddy installation problem

My friend just finished the Greddy TT installation at his car and although no major problems appeared during the install when they started up the car for the first time the VDC and the "slip" light were on.

Problem is that the two lights comes on right after you start driving, everytime.
You start up the car and few seconds after the lights come on, even if the car doesn't move.

Car has stock tires and no other parts were placed except what the kit contains.

Anyone else had problems with the VDC after the turbo installation??

I appreciate any help

Kostas

PS: The mechanic who installed the kit is the same who installed my TT kit a while ago and one other that belongs to a friend of mine. We never had any VDC related problems ory any other issues with the cars.

did u take apart the dash (perhaps to install gauges) or do anything with the steering wheel / linkage?

that might be the culprit for the VDC lite..

i bets its the "steering angle sensor neutral position." this comes on if you disconnect/reconnect the steering rack. only the dealer (or someone with a consult-ii) can clear this. there are no DTC stored in the ECU, so a regular ECU clearing will not get rid of it.

you basically have to use the consult-2 to reset the neutral position. your dealer will know how. this happened to 3 Z's that i know of after a turbo kit install.

I believe you are right, it must be the steering angle neutral angle sensor since we not only disconnect/reconnect the steering rack twice but last time we have done that the battery was not disconnect and the steering was turned couple of times...

I am not familiar with the consult-ii, is that a tester that just the Nissan dealers use?

If you know, let me know of any other way that will solve the problem w/o the need to go the car to the dealer!

Cheston, Michael, I really appreciate your help

Thanks

Consult-II is the dealer diagnostics tool that they use to clear the engine codes. it plugs into the OBD-II port inside of the car. (driver side, near the gas door/hood opening)

only your nissan dealer has the Consult....

Slightly OT but what two inputs does the ECU compare to realize the steering wheel is not in the neutral position?
