Couldn't boost it anyways. I like the intake plenum design tho.

It seems like there would be somebody out there offering fully built crate motors but i cant find any.
i doubt a company would make a crate engine for this car there is not enough demand. and if there was expect a 30+ price tag on it. about the closest thing would be to send your block to aebs and let them build you a stroker motor for about 10k, it would be close to the built nimo crate motor in performance.

thats what i meant, there would be a few willing to buy it but not enough to keep prices reasonable, or generate the revenue to make the venture worthwhile. mostly you see crate motors in the american v8 lineup, honda i-4, and i think you might even find some for the 4g63.

The general idea of crate engines is to be able to buy a built engine for the same or less than you can get it done yourself however that may take a while until the engines become more redily availible. Still though it would be pretty sweet top be able to buy a short block with frorged internals ready to go!!

I recall hearing Tomei were going to offer something in their range. Expect to pay big $$$
FWIW the Nismo one if you could get it had a sticker of around US$35k

Its about 5500 in parts(pistons, rods, cams, crank plus about 1200 in labor and to build a motor is you allready have the engine
+ 1500 for a block + 2200 for nismo heads +3000 intake/ fuell runners maybe 1000 for berings ,gaskets, ect
so 5500 + 7700 + 1200 or 14400 for an entire brand new built engine roughly.
I wonder what the other $20600 buys you????
+ ITBs, ECU and probably a heap of other little bits and pieces that make up the big picture.
The Nismo isn't a crate engine for the public, it's a race engine for professional teams.

bs dude its profit cmon dont be that naive i could get the pricefor all the ecu harnesses and chips in the 350z and 90 percent of them would not even have anything to do with the drivetrain and the sum off all thei parts would still not be 22 grand, i can say this because our engineand transmission brand new is 7600 for us to buy right now and 20 grand left in the price for the base z must all be alloted to the ecu and its wires then.haha
Tomei makes a crate engin for evo for those who dont want to open up their own engine, it has a core charge, the parts are also available separately to intall yourself. With a crate engine you are paying for labour, balancing and the core that the company had to buy in bulk to even build a crate engine. you are right the total parts are 10 or 11 grand at most including heads and cams and vtc pulleys( that is how much it probbly costs them to source or make all the parts or thei combined wholseale prices) now tihte the assembly and core charge form nissan you have aroun 30 right?
$11 grand- (generous wholesale price for parts in tomei engine package)
7600 retail price for 350z engine and transmission 5000 for engine
and the res is for the engineer who essambles it like AMG
now i bet someone to make a car with hybrid parts ranging from nismo heads titanium valves and spec one cams and vtc pulle and aebs sleves and crank and displacement and rev till 7 grand and see what hapenns that should be 13 grand assembles and tuned
which is the same price as a full crate eninge without the tubo for an evo8 form tomai but will eat it alive with at least 500 horsepower naturally aspirated and 700 with FI but Fi would cost 5 grand more for ati or dreamworks.
500 N?a is enough for me with a tilton flywheel and 4.3 liters

that will probably have tourwue up and 6 and a half thousand rpms too wiht the nismo titanium valves and spec 1 cams, if displacement wass less i would prbably set it up wth spec two/s and rev till8 and creat torque till 7 and a half but low end would be sacrificed and we woldnt have a z anymore and we might aswell buy an m3 and not feel any power unless the pedal is floored.
that motor has stuff in it that im sure is not available to the public. its the jgtc 500 engine right? that car puts out 450 hp i doubt it did so with just internals, it also revs in excess of 10000 rpms is definitely balanced and blueprinted likely has a p&p job, probably big injectors. etc. yes its overpriced but i doubt you could make an engine as good as it is for less than 25k
JGTC GT500 class does not use the VQ35
you won't see crate engines for a 350Z ever..that I promise..there is next to zero market for it. Think about it - only recently have we started to see crate engines for the Honda market.....and think of how many of those engines are out there?
The NISMO engine was a display piece only...not something offered for sale.
Same goes for the HKS
Both were featured at TAS, not SEMA

Z1- any info on those nismo parts in your catalog like the spec1 and 2 cams? I recently heard that the spec cams won't work with USDM Z's...something about timing.... How about the vtc pulley and all that other stuff? Will any of it work with USDM Z's?
