I'm the guy taking out one degree of timing every 500 rpms beginning at 4000 rpms.

tig488, I worry about hitting the rev limiter but I do it frequently as well. The TS L-Spec reflash helps prevent this by giving you an extra 500 rpms to work with, but it makes hitting the rev limiter somewhat more dangerous so I guess it's a tradeoff.

I AM SERIOUSLY THINKING ABOUT a micro 'shift light' to help me coordinate the shiftpoints better.....

not looking for a big clunky thing, but perhaps a small (aa battery sized) unit, to straddle the area behind the steering wheel (instead of ontop of the pod)

steve - what is the redline of your ecu now?? have you verified this now (and how did you)?

what about the speed limiter (and have you again??)lol

thnx

I have verified that the rev limit is 7100 using the only method I know how: banging off of it

Speed limiter? I have no idea. I don't go very fast on the street. I accelerate to the speedlimit like a madman but don't go much higher

I took the car up to 138 on a DynoJet dyno once way back when but haven't done anything like that since. All my dyno work these days is on a DynoPack (which similates load on the car meaning that dynos can be done in 3rd gear).
