VORTECH tune 5a/t update
So I talked to the tuner today and he has been working on the car all day just to get the car to try to shift right before he puts it on the dyno.Last update I called a few hours ago he said he finnally has it shifting fine he said he had to mess with the pressure setting for the fmu.So anyways I pick up the car tomarrow after he tunes it tonight and will post another update. Also I talked to vortech today and the tech spoke to the guy who made to kit and said another posible answer for the shift prob could be in the fmu pushing to much pressure and causing an over rich problem at shift point. His solution was to purchase a smaller washer from them that goes inside the fmu to convert the ratio from 8 to1 over to 6to 1.the washer costs about $30.

I will definitly post my results tomarrow when I get them.(dfw350z) no I do not have any previous runs to compare tomarrow will be the frst.
(zimbo)I am not sure what he messed wiht but I think he said somthing about ajusting the psi presure or somthing like that I will get all the info tomarrow.
When I talked to vortech today the engineer basicly told me that the fuel map on the ss does'nt do that much He said it mainly ajusted fuel in the mid rpm range and that it ajusted the whole computer fuel not just the fmu.He said the fmu is only working on boost pressure ,therefore the only way to signifintly change fuel was to change the ratio in the fmu by opening it and switching washers.

well got the car back and it is shifting good the car put down 335hp and 302 torque I will try to post the dyno and a/f sheet here in a few. These #'s are also on a load bearing dyno.Might go for the larger pulley later but for not Im happy.
excellent news!!!
dont stress the dyno numbers, either....
thas AT LEAST (approx) 358 RWHP on any DJ series drum!!
not bad at all, IMO
glad that you are having success.....
how's she runnin???
