Hey guys, i was wondering if i needed to adjust the bolt adjuster on the Vortech BOV or not. Ive been running it for two days now since i finished the install and havent touched the BOV since it came out of the box. Did any of you adjust yours? does it need adjusted?
Thanks for the help in advance!

yeah i cant find a thread on that either, so i decided to post one myself... BTW greddy4777, did you do the install yourself? if so how was it? I had fun with it, but it was frustrating at times too.
Anyone adjust their BOV?
Anyone adjust their BOV?
Dollar99, me (even though mine is still broken), and our other friend tightened ours a little bit, so there is a little flutter...
People say you shouldn't tighten it too much or you'll get compressor surge or something (which is apparently) bad because the air will have no where to exit which might make it go backwards back into the blower... this is if you tighten it all the way so there's no way for the air to excape

If you want to try to adjust the BOV .Adjust it down one or two threads at a time , untill you get a flutter sound . [that surge] Then back it off one thread at a time till it goes away .You more than likely end up with 4 or 5 threads showing

you guys are talkin about the nut on top of the BOV next to the vacuum hose connector right? cause that nut on my BOV is all the way at the last thread and i cant tighten it anymore? but yet i dont have the flutter sound? And by the way, there is suppose to be air coming out of the BOV at idle right?
you need to loosen the jamnut, then take an allen head and make the adjustments to the threaded section....
after retightening the jamnut, look for 4-6 threads showing.....
i have seen them come with 9 threads showing, from vortech, before.....
do NOT runn with the flutter for extended periods of time; you'll get a CEL and eventually damage the compressor , maf, or something....
like booger said, adjust out of flutter, one or two courses of thread.....
