Default HKS Supercharger Kit RELEASED

HKS is proud to introduce the highly anticipated HKS Rotrex Supercharger kit for 2003+ Nissan 350Z. This direct bolt-on kit produces a 80+ Horsepower gain over stock (measured at the rear wheels), with boost set to 0.48bar (~7PSI). The supercharger is a centrifugal type that features a unique traction drive, and a closed oil circulation system. The traction drive utilizes fixed ratio planetary rollers that are more efficient then traditional gear-wheels. Because the planetary rollers do not have teeth like traditional gear-wheels, noise is decreased and reliability increased. The closed oil circulation system cycles a specially-formulated Traction Oil that lubricates and cools the supercharger, dramatically increasing longevity and reliability. The Traction Oil is cooled through an air to fluid oil cooler.

The HKS Rotrex Supercharger kit for the Nissan 350Z includes all the necessary components for a complete installation:
Ć HKS Rotrex Centrifugal Supercharger Unit
Ć Front Mount Intercooler
Ć S/C Controller (Engine Management w/direct plug harness)
Ć Traction Oil Cooler
Ć Tuned Cast-Aluminum Mounting Bracket (This bracket has been specifically engineered and tested to minimize noise and vibration)
Ć 525cc Injectors X 2
Ć Bolt in Fuel Pump Assembly
Ć Super Mega Flow Intake
Ć Standard Bypass Valve
Ć Pending CARB exemption

Part # Product MSRP
12001-XN001 2003+ Nissan 350Z HKS Rotrex Supercharger Kit $7250.00

Next in the series: Infiniti G35 Coupe and FX35 (available late Summer 2004)

Limited supplies of the new 350Z Supercharger kits are being prepared shipment.
HKS USA will begin taking orders for the initial lot starting Monday, July 12, 2004.
Because of the limited supply, we will also take pre-orders for the second lot which will be received at the end of July.

For more information, additional specifications and performance data, please contact your HKS USA Sales Consultant or go to www.hksusa.com/supercharger.

Oh and of course, I am a direct authorized HKS (Pro) Dealer and if your interested in one of these systems send me a PM or email me ASAP and I can see what I can do for ya!

HKS has informed me that the front crash beam does still fit over all this stuff. I know that is a concern for a lot of you guys that didnt like the Greddy kit since you had to remove that beam.

Airbag sensors and crash beam stay put, nothing is moved.

HKS is telling me that this system has already been CARB approved and they are just waiting for the E.O. # and the stickers.

Jim,

I am hoping to get to install one, but we will see. They are limited to one per dealer right now and are expected to be sold out by the end of the day. It is really limited right now and hour ago when I talked to them they were half sold out already... The day is still young.

I would order one for stock, but I already have a Greddy TT in stock that has been here for ages that I cant sell, and I dont want to invest more of my companies money into something else super expensive that will likely stand on the shelf for a long long time.

If you are seriously considering one, I cannot do it for $5000 even, but I can get you close enough that you might be surprised. Let me know.

this looks amazing as a kit, it think it's very complete, it includes everything even an oil cooler, i think i'll go that way when it comes out for the g35, only draw back is the price, but i am sure it's gonna drop after the supply catches up with the demande, now imagine this with the hks full exhaust system, one can only droooooooool....

It looks like a nice kit, but I don't see why anyone would pay that much for just 80 whp. Is there any chance for an upgrade to increase power?

well, lots of people might feel the same about the price vs performance... but there are more than those 2 factors... reliability is the other of the 3.

From my experiance, the Vortech kit seems to make about another 40rwhp on top of what HKS is claiming... but until its on a dynojet for comparison... we dont really know. Lots of people are under-rating their stuff these days. It may very well put down more once someone puts it on a dynojet.

The HKS kit is rumoured to run a lot more silent then the other kits on the market, and some people may trust the high-end HKS name more than others. There could really be several reasons why someone would choose this kit over any other.

I really do prefer the quality of engine management solution in the HKS kit. HKS stuff is always super nice, and I am sure it will make lots of people very happy.

One guy at HKS, when we were talking about future upgrades, did comment that they feel comfortable at this HP level due to the weak connecting rods in the engine. Sure some guys are doing 450rwhp, but some guys are throwing rods before even being close to that. It was expressed to me that at this HP level, they are not concerned about the reliability of the stock engine. This is something many people will sleep better with.

Sometimes conservative quality is what some people want, rather then radical HP and risk.

This is a bad@ss kit and if I didn't have Vortech on the brain and I had the extra money I'd go for it.

That is one good looking kit!!! I bet it will put down alot better numbers then 80rwhp. I would say it will be simillar to the ATI or Vortech, but nicer. Top notch for a supercharger and it would of been my choice if I went this direction.

This would be a good DEALER INSTALLED option, because HKS quality is excellent and it is supposedly very quiet compare to other SCers. But I would have to say to those looking for big gains and higher potenial, this may not be the kit for you, IMO. It seems very wimpy. Then again a majority of people that want to go FI are afraid of toasting there motors. And of all companies, HKS and even GReddy don't want you to blow your engine.

I'd trust HKS more than Vortech, but I'm nuts!

Nice looking kit.

Where does the filter mount?
Is it accessible without removing the super charger or intercooler?
Does the front bumper need to be removed for install?
With the special oil and external oil cooler, it sounds like tapping the oil pan is NOT required. Is this the case?
Knowing that an owner is looking for more power when spending thousands of dollars on a super charger, why would HKS under-rate their power numbers? That seems like a strange way to market.
