Default turbo timer for S/C?

Hey guys, i was sitting in my car today and was wondering about this. since my supercharger is constantly running, unlike a turbo, it keeps using the hot oil from the pan, and when i shut off the engine, the hot oil is still in the supercharger? Has anyone else ever thought of this? I guess you could use any turbo timer since all it taps into is your ignition. i just dotn want to ruin my brand new supercharger...
Thanks for the help in advance!

I don't think it really needs it because superchargers get no were near as hot as a turbo. Just my .02

I would like to know if the ATI..procharger runs hotter than the Vortech ? Or vice versa....ATI's oil is in the SC all the time .And can build heat ...or is the engine oil that goes thru the Vortech hotter

I would agree with that statement.. I can still sort of touch my ATI blower after some hard driving.. I wouldn't dare do that to a turbo..

I agree with this too. As the turbine isnt connected to the exhaust as a turbo is, the heat soak experienced with a SC isnt enough to warrant a turbo timer.

I would think that the ATI runs hotter just because it uses its own oil that doesnt circulate so it builds up heat and has no where to go? where as the vortech uses engine oil that passes through sort of an oil cooler that uses the radiator fluid....Thats my guess...

vortech has a kit that makes it self contained, complete with an oil cooler radiator (mini).....

i have thought about it...
i also saw something that took a purge of boost fromn the intercooler (?) and pushed the oilline with it....

again, theory only if these work...

i put my old turbo timer in with the voretch...

all i kno is, my old vortech got really hot and so does this. after a long/hard run it makes me feel better that my car can cool off(having the fans come on) and to circulate the oil a lil more before shut off. it def doesn't hurt the car but can def help. IMO
cheers
