I'm not criticizing you. I'm simply pointing out that the wording of your statement that the ATI kit is the only logical choice is sorta like saying that John Kerry is the only logical choice as President in the next election. I respect your opinion, just not the jingoistic wording of it.

Not to go off topic but since I have been questioned...

Zimbo, how does selling my car equate to not liking my ATI kit? The reason for the potential sale of my car was becaase my wife and I had a baby and we felt a back seat would fill my needs better. Now if I chose to sell the supercharger and keep the car (like what you are doing by going turbo) I could understand your logic in questioning me.

Most guys if they are unhappy with a mod, sell the mod not the car. This is why I question your reasons for changing to a turbo at an increased cost of $8K-$10K after you have already spent $5K on the vortech. Great its a hobby you can add brakes, a body kit, new injectors, a flash, headers, fuel system, etc. but why completely change your F/I set up if you are not totally dissatisfied or wanting more? What I'm saying is there are a many other things you could do to satisfy your hobby needs before you replace something you just installed

Its funny that you say that es lol... I have something even more funny to share.

My wife and I did the unthinkable last night. We bought a minivan. Ouch, it even hurts to say it. My wife is 27 and I am 29. When I told the salesman last night that we wanted a minivan he actually laughed at first thinking that I was kidding.

Since I have chosen not to sell the car (or the ATI kit) we deceided with two kids the minivan was the most practical choice for us at this time. It will be cool pulling up to Nopi this weekend and getting out of my minivan

(My car is in Nashville having some more goodies installed)

It doesn't. That was my exact point.

Whether or not I end up doing a switch to TT will have nothing to do with how happy I am with the Vortech kit. It will more be a matter of whether or not I'm going to build up the engine at target 500 rwhp. To me (just to me--I'm not saying that everyone should/would come to this conclusion), if I'm going to build up the engine then a TT makes more sense than ANY supercharger kit out there. Plus it is a lot quieter--not just due to the lack of the SC whine but also because it cuts down on exhaust drone.

If I do go TT, can tell you that I'll likely prefer the eManage or SplitSecond approach to timing/fuel over sending my ECU across the country. If I lived in LA it would be a different story.

Zimbo I think you missed my point earlier

As far as the SC whine, (I don't like this either) it will only get worse. I could understand if you were unhappy. Concerning the exhaust note, either way it will be louder at 500rwhp. This is the case becasue you will be using test pipes which for an exhaust driven turbo is almost required at that level.

If you really want 500 rwhp I feel the ATI SC could satisfy your needs as well. (Without upgrading the blower or I/C) There are a couple things you would need to do first. Most of which are safety precautions that you would need to do with a turbo as well. By the way, I don't know anyone that is pushing 500rwhp that has not reflashed the ecu (so be prepared). At this point in time sending your ecu in is the only way to hit 500rwhp. The reason this is necessary is because you need to upgrade injectors, so even the guys with emanage pushing that number are flashed.
Upgrade list to hit 500rwhp with ATI SC:
1) Headers/Plenum
2) Injectors/Fuel pump
3) Adjustable fuel regulator/Return line
4) TS ECU Flash
5) Rods/Pistons
6) Cams
7) 12 or 13 PSI pulleys based on tranny
8) Test pipes

Granted I have not seen this personally (500 rwhp) but there are guys with the kit that are hitting 450+ at 11 PSI without cams and they are 5AT's that dyno less rwhp.

Personally I would like to stay under the 450rwhp mark, as that is the place you will definitely need to build the motor and reinforce the tranny.

Sorry to be off topic (sort of). I have the ATI but won't install it because spending around 170.00 per injector is alot of money to me. If someone knows of the cheapest place to buy the PE 380cc injectors I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks

Yeah, PE injectors are way overpriced. You're better off with the RC 440s. Oh no wait, can't TS flash for those, right?!?!

Gruppe s sells them for $8XX shipped... (cheapest place) I bought mine for a lot less than $170.

RC 440's probably wouldn't work and are overkill unless you are looking to upgrade to 500+rwhp.

RC makes decent injectors. I had the 720's in my supra but the PE injectors are nicer. Seveal people have goen the RC route and have later changed to PE.
