hey G35twin, did you order your kit yet? you were talkin bout it for a while, but i was just wonderin. anyway, there are some people here that run mid 12's with the vortech on street tires. Theres one guy that ran a 13 flat with just bolt ons and no FI. But i think he was on slicks. hope this helps! and let us know when you get your kit...

jdm, i was 100% positive that i was gona get the kit, but now there are like 10 new kits comming out, now im not positve thats what i want. Maby you guys can help me out though. Here are a few things that im looking for in the kit.

1) reliable
2) room to upgrade (not talking 500+ hp but about 50-70 more hp then the stock kit provides)
3)not to complicated to work with, dont need a NASA guy to program it
4)cant spend more then 7k

I'd wait a little longer. Like you said so much will be coming out soon. I'm leaning toward the APS Turbo coming out later in the Fall. Then you can keep your user name. It's tough though not to just flip the switch and go for something now. Good luck with your decision.

Yeah brianLG35C is right, if you are not sure yourself if you want to buy it or not, then wait on it, because you dont want to get something you will regret in the future. I was sure that i wanted the vortech because i did the research on it, and found out alot of info on it, and i thought it was the best system for me, pricewise, and powerwise. There are other systems that are coming out, and systems that were just release, like the HKS Rotrex S/C, but that thing goes for 7,000 bills, which is more than the twin turbos. And i think APS's turbo kit is around that price too. I havent heard that much about dreamworks kit, but it looks cool...haha. But yeah, if you want, do some more research before you buy, its not like you are buying a cheap mod like an intake or somethin, so take your time, and find out what is best for you...

Oh and by the way, i just dynoed my vortech kit and got it tuned. I am pushing a bit over 100 whp over stock and about 60 lbs of tq over stock so it put me at 386 whp and 303 tq. The first time i took it to the dyno, my belt was slipping, so these are the new numbers. and i was going to upgrade to the 287 pulley in a few weeks, should be over the 400 whp mark.

Believe me you will spend way more than $7000.00 for the Twin turbo kits installed with the extras that you need for the kit. The 4 supercharger systems out there will cost you under $7000.00 installed and tuned. That’s why I went with the Vortech kit.

I put down 246RWHP stock and with the kit out of the box it put down 352RWHP, with some tuning we got it up to 371RWHP. When I took the car to the track I ran a 13.1 at over 110mph with a 2.29 60ft on my stock street tires. That’s a mid to low 12 second car on a good tire with just a supercharger and no other mods. Good luck with your decision.

I have a very limited amount of knowledge on the SC kits, but I have a couple of questions for you.

What kind of SC are you looking for? Roots?
Where do you want to see your gains?
Do you just want HP numbers or is torque really what you are after?

Some kits put out high HP numbers, but low torque numbers, while other put out ok HP and Torque numbers.

Most if not all of the SC Kits are pretty upgradeable, if you are looking for high 300s or very low 400s (HP only Torque not that high), from what I have seen on these boards an SC kit can make that.

If you cannot spend more than 7k, don't look at the TT kits. Yes you could install it yourself and save some cash, but there are so many other things your should do while installing the TT kit. Like your exhaust, Clutch and Flywheel...etc. Those things are a b*tch to upgrade after you have the kit bolted in.

Also if you just have 7k, then I will assume that you don't have the cash to rebuild you motor if you pop it. Uninstalling a SC kit and putting the vehicle back to stock is breeze compared to a TT.
