Love to--Ennis finally opens back up this weekend.

BTW, the tuners will be the same people who did the install.

And Andy--I was waiting for you to chime in. hee hee Now I know what I have to beat, and if I actually hit the 430 mark, I'll NEVER stop grinning. As soon as she's tuned the way we want her, I'll stop by a buddy's shop to see what kind of numbers I'm putting down, and I'll be sure to share.
I know I should know this, but you don't have mods in a sig and I'm too lazy to do a search. What else are you sporting with the Vortech? Exhaust mods? Cams?

I think the main thing setting my ride apart from the pack are the cams and Crawford Headers. Everything else has been done collectively or in part on other Vortech cars and the best I've seen are numbers in the 380s except from my runs.

BTW, next power mod for me is not to make more power, but to hit my 425 earlier in the power band. I'm a little nervous about pushing this motor into the 450 range without internal upgrades. Have 3.12" and 34 tooth pulleys sitting on my desk. They will go on after HIN-Atlanta on Aug 21st.

Good luck at the dyno!

Andy--Crawford V5 plenum, XERD headers, Nismo cams, InJen Straight tip exhaust, and the rest is suspension or cosmetic. So you and I should be pretty close in numbers--disregarding our different climates.

P.S. I can't believe I just listed all of my mods. When people ask in person, my response is always "a few bolt ons." lol

hehehe... "a few bolt ons"... well, they can't see the cams and everything else is a bolt on, right?

Should be interesting. If you have a good tuner, I think you should be right there with me. Guess if I have to share the limelight, I'd rather do it with you... btw, about those fantasies you've been having...

Oh... just don't try to bogart the Frankenstein 350Z name (trademark mcduck)

Not to worry, Andy. She's already been named Project Envy. (It goes along with my cocky personalized plates. LOL)

And if you think about it, everything's a bolt on. The crank bolts into the block, etc., etc. Yeah, I'm evil.

Don't worry, Mike--I owe you a ride once it's tuned. That way we'll both have that sh*t eatin' grin we've talked about. LOL

And I loved the intercooler powdercoated. With the front end on, it blends in well and gives me a little bit of stealth factor (it's a good thing the headers make the car loud enough to hide the blower whine).

Weeell.... technically, cams are a "bolt-in", not a "bolt-on"...

As for Project Envy (trademark 350zSpeedRacer) ... is that the name because of the car or who drives it?

and what's this about a powder coated intercooler... did I miss that somewhere?

Booooooooo, Andy! That was a terrible, terrible line. Now go sit in the corner and think about what you did. LOL (While you're there, take a close look at the first pic--you can kinda tell where the intercooler's been powdercoated black--stealth mode. Muwahahahahahaha!)

And Josh--I had to do SOMETHING to show you up!

maybe it's just the angle or just me, but the intercooler still has a metal finish look to me... doesn't look black at all.

as for the line... doesn't matter if it was terrible or not. You're married and you're half a country away. I could lay out the best line in the world and it won't make a difference. All in fun!

I'll post a better one up tonight or tomorrow for ya, Andy. It's not all black--but the top, bottom, and pipe inlets are black.

Not to get to far off track, but I think we need to arrange a summer meet soon so we can check out your latest upgrade Christi. I'm thinking maybe at Freebirds! I still owe you one for the "Autocross Oklahoma Road Trip From Hell".

hmm ~420rwhp is real nice.. about what i had on my 98 Supra TT

but you are talking about a vortech SS that cost about $7k then the crawford plenum , test pipes exhaust and all the other goodies.. might as we get a TT kit no? and still have room to grow if we hit the lotto and can build the motor

lets hear the feedback please.

But if I had the tips I'm going to share when I was actually working on the car, it probably would have saved us a few hours in frustration.

And just for grins, here's me at the end of a 14 hour day with my Z....

Don't mean to be mean but that picture of you on the ground is that a GUY or a GIRL?

Andy,
I had the lower tubes of the polished kit powdercoated black as well as the intercooler (fins were left alone). Look at the sides of the intercooler and you'll see ....

BTW, The reason I keep saying I did this ... is well, Christi bought it from me ... for me ... for her !!! I am enjoying the Titan though !!!
