Last week I took out the gutted RT cats and installed Crawford cats . I finally got a laptop and did some recordings today. I noticed after the cat install the A/F was outta wack .So I was hopeful I had gained a little boost and torque . Guess what....I have 8.9lb's of boost at 6,800rpm's . Opening up the exhaust really was hurting me . I was having a hard time believing that it would make that much of a difference. I was wrong !!!! Even when the RT cats were good , I got 7lb's with the stock pulley and 7.6 with the 3.125 pulley. So Im not sure if I want to try the 2.87 pulley or not ? The car isnt shifting right again [ dead spot in between shifts ] But I think its from the A/F being outta wack. Time to set up another dyno time . Im going to tune it myself this time and save some cash
I currently have stock cats but I am getting ready to purchase Crawford cats. I am pulling 8.5 – 9.0 lb depending on weather conditions. This makes me wonder what type of boost I will pull after the switch.
Its good to hear you got your boost back..

thank goodness BOOG....
its about time!! if anyone desevers the fruits of their labor, it's gotta be you!!
i still think the 287 is good, IF used (and understood) properly...((no 6500 shifts))
i also would consider this::
1) potential psi issues with the oem BOV being rated at only 8
2) potential flowageefficienty issues with the oem IC being only rated to flow____ cfm
3) like i sed above, realizing that shifting @ or near redline (with 287) might be ineffecient, as these other components might be overworked, and have run 'out of steam' or so to speak...
i certainly think that with the correct components (and tuning), the 287 will deliver better street boost (below 5K)

The more I think about it....Im going to hold off on the 2.87 for now and retune the 3.125 .If I dont see a good improvement in whp and trq. I'll go ahead and put it on

I'm not too concerned about 1 psi either way of boost, as long as the car feels quicker. I am running straight pipes, JIC Y pipe and Nismo back from the Y. When i changed from high flow cats to straight pipes the car feels so much quicker. Even if you lose some boost, surely that is easier on the engine. As long as you get the power output, which mine certainly feels like it has!
