Wink Help - Which charger?

Hi All,

I live in the UK and I'm getting a Z with Nismo kit late September in Sunburnt Orange with the GT pack.

Looking to improve the performance on it after about 6 months, as warranty will be voided I figure any problems should have popped up by then. Was thinking of putting a ProCharger on it but have read about blown engines with this particular unit so I'm having doubts.

Which charger would you guys go for? Which has a good reputation in terms of performance gains, reliablity and cost (I know most of you are american but differences in costs between manufacturers should be roughly the same in $/£'s)

The unit I was going for was going to give approx 420BHP at the flywheel, does this sound correct and what do you think I would get at the wheels?

Are there any other mod's that will improve the performance but not destroy engines that you can recommend, read about plenums but not really sure what they are/do?

Thanks for any replys, all suggestions/comments appreciated.

By the way, any UK Z owners out there with any tips on ownership/garages etc.

Cheers, hope I enjoy the car as much as most of you seem to!

Gav

I would run the Stillen stage 3 unit. Its the most reliable supercharger available, not one engine blown yet. Easy install, fully plug and play. No tuning required. Total cost would be around $7000 for everything including the hood.
Has been dyno'd at 410HP at the crank and 339HP at the wheels.
