Vortech SC Dyno Numbers
The altitude here in Albuquerque, New Mexico (5094 ft.) does cause loss in HP and tuning problems. Technosquare performed "L" Flash. Have performed several dyno pulls and made adjustments using R4 program. Initially, A/F was rich, 10's and 9's in the in the 4500 rpm - 6500 rpm window.
The FMU is sent from Vortech with #8 washer for our OEM injectors. Vortech suggested washer be change to #6. Kit was ordered. Washer changed.
Any comments or suggestions on attached dyno pulls and chart.

If you have the chart from your dyno . That shows rpm's and A/F and boost you can change it . But you need to check it again after changing it . And you need o be on a dyno for that
Have spent hours on the dyno. I have the chart, but tuner is not having much success getting large changes in A/F. Can't seem to get those between 11.26 - 10.81 up to 11.5. There must be something in the R4 program that he does not totally understand.
I didnt think about this. He may have left it rich , in case you come down out of the mountains . You would be getting much more usable air and it would get to lean up top .And Im sure you do that once in a while. You would have to ask some one that knows about tuning at altitude.......Bill
Still have A/F problems above 5500 rpms. Would like to get it to 11.5 Sent fax to "Split Second" with question on R4 software. Their response was, if your green and violet wires are connected properly, you can adjust A/F value to whatever you want on map "A".
Well, they are connected properly, but still can't get A/F to 11.5. Can't move it from where it is on previous dyno or values posted. Currently R4 cells at boost are showing 10.2 on map "A". Can you put negative values in the cells?
Does anyone have values of their R4 cells they could post, send by PM, e-mail or fax?

Send me your email address and I'll send you a map . Split Second is right...you should be able to get it where you want it . The cells you see in the A map [fuel ] are not A/F readings . They are how much fuel is going in at that point in your rpm and boost range . If you want lean it up...you have to put the numbers lower....lets say at 5500 rpms and 7lbs of boost.....that cell says 10.2... Your dyno chart says you are at a A/F of 11.11....you would raise that....10.2 number to like....10.4....then do it for the next level.....then do another dyno pull and check it . You have to be on a dyno or have a way to datalog the ....rpm....boost....A/F...all together .Dont change a thing if you cant check your results
I'd bet $100 that the problem is that your R4 software System Settings are not set to Vacuum / Pressure so you are changing the values at vacuum that are never "seen" during a dyno run rather than the values at boost. If all of the readings are 10.2 in the range you are modifying then that is DEFINITELY the issue. You are changing the WRONG values on the map.
The top left corner of your map A should be -28.5 Hg and 500 rpms. If it's not then you are modifying the wrong numbers.

and I got it`wrong....If you want to lean it up...you lower the number in that cell....not raise it...Zimbo.... is more than likely right...I was thinking that they maybe not writing it to the ECU
