Default Need "Profec e01 for Dummies" Course

Well, its getting closer to my install date and I'm trying to finalize the gauges. I know the profec e01 will display my boost, but what other things can it display (with / without optional accessories)? I appreciate it in advance . . .

It can display RPMs (using the special RPM adapter that tees into each of the 6 ignition lines from the ECU), it can display data from an external source such as a Wideband O2 sensor--assuming you purchase the external signal harness).

I haven't figured out how to play Pong on it yet...

It can display every input and out coming from the eManage. The USB cable is what transmits everything back and forth between the emanage and profec.

Optional items are the external signal harness that zimbo mentioned above. Lets you display numerous externals signals to the profec..such as a wideband O2, or fuel pressure. The other optional item is the boost pressure sensor harness. For some reason, you need this to rely the boost signal from the profec to the eManage. Not sure why they just didnt incorporate that feed into the USB cable along with everything else.

So basically, I can get the harnesses and display these readings . . . so do I really need any gauges?

I've got the ignition harness with adapter. Does anything get displayed?

Thanks for all the help!

The manual is very easy to understand and goes over allot of the concepts.

In case you have not read it: http://www.350tt.com/tt_kits/greddy/e01_manual.pdf

For fuel pressure you need to get a fuel pressure gauge or a sensor and know the voltage reading. Once you have that you can tap that into the optional signal harness, and use a conversion so the E-01 know how to translate voltage to some value.

yup.. i'm using the DEFI D-Gauge fuel pressure gauge, and I've tap the sender line so I can data-log fuel pressure in the E-01.

One thing is that you can only display 3 items at a time on the eO1, so depending on what you want you have to pick the 3 you most want or add gages. I am picking Boost, AF as a must and RPM's as the third.
