Default Problem with fuel guage????

Hey guys, ive noticed this for a few days now, but today it was really bad...I left my house and drove for a while and noticed my fuel guage on empty and the light was on. So i drive to the gas station, and as soon as i get there, i look at my gauge, and its at a 1/4 tank?? I was like WTF?? So put in 16 bucks worth of gas. Just over 8 gallons, and i start up my car and the guage now reads 3/4 of a tank. Ok. So i drove to the mall, which is about three minutes away, and i look at the guage, and its at 1/2??? So i leave and drive around some more, and it moves up to 3/4 again.
I dont know if the Vortech is causing this problem or not, but is anyone else having this annoying *** problem??? And no, i dont live on a hill and the gas station wasnt on a hill either or anything like that... Anyone have any ideas or similar problems???
Thanks!!

Did you recently change your in tank fuel pump? If so, you may have bent the float.

Another dumb question...but are certain you dont have a fuel leak. Several Vortech owners had fautly/defect FMU units that cause fuel to leak all over the ground.

Im pretty sure i dont have a leak because i remember a fuel leak i had before, and even a little drop i could smell it. I posted this on the general forum too, and i did a search. Apparently there are alot of others having the same problem.

Sounds like your stock float is going bad in the tank . Dont think it would have any thing to do with the Vortech . My truck is doing the same exact thing right now .I know I have 3/4 of a tank , but would show a 1/4 . Then 20 minuyes later show 3/4's again . It stops for a couple of days and then starts acting up again
