Default Vortech - Finally got it installed!

I got the kit back in July, had it ceramic coated and dicked around getting to the install.
I did take it up to 6500 rpm once - little pecker head in a Jetta kept messing with me. My Zeitronix peaks were 7.8 boost, egt was 795 and a/f went off the scale at 9.9 (i think that's as low as it will go). Gonna take it easy, got a dyno/tune scheduled for next week.

Big thanks to all you guys out there. I've been reading the FI section almost every day since the idea came to be. Now I'm sure the questions and experiences will start to fly.

Here's a pic of a nasty engine bay in need of some grooming:

Congrats! Enjoy the power! Did you send you ECU to Technosquare to get the "L" Flash? Tuning with the SS R4 program on a dyno will bring the A/F under control.

I pondered the L spec flash, but I really couldn't see it doing that much for the 6mt other than bumping the rev limiter up few hundred rpm and taking off the top end governor. I know it is pretty much a necessity for the AT with the WOT shifting.

"What is Zeitronix"

It is a digital wideband, boost and egt with data logging capablities. It is easy to conceal or for people with space issues.

It is kind of hard to see during the day and hard to focus on one particular number, but the peak holds are nice.

Here is a pic from Lorinserbenz (I think)

Congrats! It's a lot of fun.

Definitely get her tuned as soon as you can. The Vortech tune out of the box is VERY conservative, which is good, but that also means there's more power to squeeze out--as long as you stay on the side of safety.
