Default installing turbo kits

Can any of them be installed on the motor while it is out of the car? I plan on building the motor, and it would be much easier to install everying with the motor on a stand.

I know I've heard of atleast one person doing it, but for the life of me, I can't seem to grasp how they did it I'm sure you can put the kit together and then just remove a few parts that may get in the way upon reinstallation. Assuming you're going with a Greddy kit, I'd definitely put on the wastegates & exhaust manifolds while it was out of the car.
