Default Vortech ordered need advice!!

Well, I finally ordered the Vortech kit today and can't wait to get it. I also have one step colder NGK's and a JWT oil pan spacer to assist in safety measures. I have no plans at all for upping the boost in the near future.
So my question to all you Vortech owners is.... How reliable has this kit been for you out of the box? I plan to get the R4 software and tune it for more agreeable fuel maps, but I wanted to wait at least 6 months before I look into making a more relable fuel system,
Can you al help me with your opinions?

Thanks,
Steve

My kit has been very reliable. I've put about 3000 miles on it. The only problem I had is the jackshaft nut on the sc side, which was installed by vortech, came off and the pully cut through the cam position sensor. that was a pain. But they sent me the nut and I spliced the wire, so no real big problem.

The kit runs super rich from the factory. You need to get the r4 software to tune it down. Be sure you get a wideband o2 with datamapping so you can tune it right. The kit is alot of fun and I enjoy it alot.

Have fun, welcome to the club.

I didn't even consider the Stillen because I already have a Crawford Plenum and I didn't want to get a new hood. So that route was out.

YOU will definately enjoy the extra ponies! Don't know how many "Z's" in your area have FI, but be prepared for the looks. If the looks don't get them the BOV will. Find a tuner in your area familar with the SS R4 program.
