?? and/or comments on Dyno results of Greddy TT
I went to the dyno after putting the almost final piece of the puzzle, the J&S Safeguard, the last and final will be upgraded fuel system, already have upgraded pump.
Anyway, I finished the day with 355 RWHP, see pic below, I was happy with the AF, the in car was slightly lower and I assume more accurate. The table is data logged from the e01
I have a question or request comments on the boost numbers, I am new at this as the 300ZX just has the little analog gage, no where near the accuracy of the e01 display, so I ask if the boost numbers look OK, I mean where they peak around 5K and slightly tail off at the end, if so what boost would you call this run, 8 because of peak or 7-7.5 as a rough average.
I am happy but at 8 psi I thougth I would get a little more, maybe a dual exhaust is in order.

Did you have te e-01 set on auto mode or manual? It's not uncommon to see a dropoff in boost if you use the manual mode. At higher RPM, there is less inertial load on the engine, so boost pressure can falloff. Boost is more load dependant, rather than RPM dependant. If you use the auto mode, the fuzzy logic controller will automatically make adjustments to keep you at your "set" boost pressure.
otherwise, the A/F's look great. I suspect you might be taking too much timing out?? Or are you running stock cats or a restrictive exhuast? All of those things could be keeping your HP down.

How are the Torque numbers?
Couple of quick questions if you don't mind.
What exhuast are you running after the y pipe?
How much timing are you pulling?
That number is pretty low for @8 psi and your A/F seems pretty good. The issue is else where, probably timing or exhaust restriction. If we had TQ it would help narrow it down.

As for timing I am only pulling around 1/2 degree per pound above 5 psi for the boost based retard and on the lowest of 2 degrees for the RPM based retard and I have not seen the knock light come on the J&S.
I will try another dyno to get the torque.
Hey Gus, love that a/f flatline
Using the SafeGuard settings I have, did the units led light ever come on while doing the runs ?
I am waiting for a couple more cold fronts to come, and 1st really cool day, I am off to do some runs.

I am going to have to play with the J&S as the light never came on so maybe I am pulling too much timing, wish we could log timing.

Yeah, great job on the MAPS Tim, I just tweaked a couple of cells from the street runs I recorded, otherwise it is all you, nice job.

Make sure the light is coming on.
Then take it on the road, and adjust the sensitivity
A little rich on top but not bad. I would think with test pipes you'd be a little higher. At 8 PSI, with test pipes and a Greddy EVO2 I just finished tuning a car to 449 WHP at 8.2 PSI but the AF mixture was at 11.5:1 or so across the board and tappering to 11.75:1 at redline (injectors going static).

Z1, Pettit is a big RX-7 tuner and their dyno has been documented well within normal standards.
At 8psi with test pipes 400whp should be a minimum expected output for a 350z with the Greddy TT kit with decent tuning.
Gary
Well if I am supposed to be putting down 400 RWHP at 8PSI with good tunning and we can see the 8psi is pretty close to stable, the AF looks as good as you can get WHERE is the HP going? I have Track Model Rays so wheels are not an issue.
As for other FI the only one was an ATI setup and they got 345 RWHP with Stock pulley, Nismo Headers, RT cats and Stillen exhaust and that was in March when it was a little cooler.
I am going to have to go to Miami where ACP dynoed his for comparison, plus I need a torque curve anyway.

Well I was able to get the boost to stay steady but still not at the 400+ and now it is richer even though I removed some fuel at a couple of spots. It was more steady boost around 7.5, new number is 382 RWHP.
