Default test pipes and CEL

Hey I was wondering if I was to put on test pipes with a Greddy Evo2 exhaust, will it make my check engine light go on? I dont want to put that on and have to pay a tuner to take it off for me.

I think it depends what year you are. I think i read in another post somewhere that the CEL light was more likely in the 2004 and newer i think. I had them on for a couple days on my 2003 and had no lights. Just make sure that the 02 sensors dont get damaged during install and you should be fine.

First off, you should have some sort of diagnostic with a TT setup. It will save you thousands of headaches when things start happening (and they will).

But if you're just doing test pipes, you shouldn't have a problem. I've been cat-less for almost a year and never had the CEL trip up.
