that's the thing...$1,200 for CF interior pieces? i can find a shop that'll custom the cluster for that much....
I'm not positive about that price though. I was quoted that by the GM, but he could have been misinformed about the price. I'd give them a call bro and verify.

There is a company that I saw in some tuner mag that makes the full Honda S2000 interior in carbon fiber, even the whole door panel! I contacted them about the G and they had no immediate plans to do anything with the G but they didn't say no. I forget their name but it was quality *****!

Ok guys, I called Infiniti of Monclair (909) 625-8990 and spoke with the parts dept. (after being transfered around between the parts dept. and the service dept. because neither knew what the hell they were doing), and they said to contact Keith Marshall in the service dept. for pricing tomorrow morning. I'll keep you guys posted.

Default The price is...

$185 for the set. 2 pieces for each mirror and the rear emblem filler we have decided to include as part of the kit standard. It will be $25.00 if purchased seperately for the emblem filler and $160.00 for the mirrors. They are in stock now and we are shipping when orders are received. CC or Paypal is fine to info@elegantwooddesign.com. We ahev them in regular black, gunmetal, or the bright silver/chrome fiber.

CF1 makes mirror covers that cover the actual mirror. I believe they just finished R&D and are now in production. I test fitted a set for my sedan and they are awesome looking. I thought it was silly at first, but when i saw them, I changed my mind. Definitely a good touch. like a nice belt or earings.

Update:

I spoke w/ Keith. The kit runs..........gasp!............$1695.00 (this explains why the GM told me about $1200.00 because it's probably the wholesale price that he offered me). It's believed that the kit is produced by Infiniti (but Keith is checking on that as we speak to verify). I'll update as soon as he returns my call. I'm going to ask him if this kit can be purchased anywhere else.

Update #2:

I received the call from Keith. The $1695.00 price is including install. The kit for those of us w/ NAV runs about $1800.00 because they replace the silver covering around our NAV screen w/ CF (pretty trick if you ask me) or w/ black matte type plastic or something. I'm considering this kit. If any of you have Infiniti dealers near you, go check them out and see if they have the kit installed on one of their G's. It really is a nicely done replacement kit. Also, if any of you are able to get better pricing for this kit, do share.

Also, I was told where to find pics of this kit: www.yoinfiniti.com (go to the G35 section)

Default Now I hope you guys appreciate us...

after visiting that yoinfiniti place I have to tell you it is NOT real CF not is it real wood. I know the owner, he is a competitor of ours. It is the same process we use. I have also quoted many kits and done them for half that amount. Our 350Z kit is nearly one fourth that amount.. Even with the full console we are half!

And who might this competitor be? What is this process you're referring to? The reason I ask is because I've seen this kit in person, and the kit that I saw was real CF. That pic does the kit no justice at all. And for the record I never said the wood kit was real (most wood kits for cars aren't). If, in fact, you offer a better kit for 1/4 or 1/2 of the amount, do give me details (and pics) with regards to your available kit (I have a G35, so your kit may not apply). Again, the kit I saw at the dealer was real CF, well crafted, and looked great inside the car.

well if you visit our website, you will see how we do what we do. I would go back to the dealer and look at that 'real' cf kit more closely. even ours have fooled some. It's nice when they do. But we do not represent ours as real when they are not. Visit the main site called www.yocard.com cut and paste it, and you will see other vehicles he does. Not many, but it is clear from the pics and description that it is not real. I know Simon. He does dealer work around SoCal where we are. I think you may be mistaken about the real CF as at this time there is no real CF kit by anybody except the flat peel and stick ones.

You haven't answered my inquiry. What is the process that you speak of? I'm curious, and I'm sure many other members are as well. Please don't interpret my responses as being laced with anger, spite, or malice. I'm just curious about this process. I want to be educated.

What is your website link????

I will definitely stop by the dealer today and check it out again more closely.

Also, if someone wanted to get work done through you, would they have to send you their cores?

Although it's not real carbon fiber, you do get the benefit of not having a stick-on type application.
