Default G35C OEM 18's

Actual size of G35 Coupe OEM 18 x 8 wheels. I've been told (on forums and at a tire shop) that the OEM wheel is actually an 18 x 8.5, so I measured the wheel and found that not to be true--it's 18 x 8JJ as you can see in the attached photo (hoping it appears after this text).

Wheels aren't for sale...

You can use a front or rear OEM wheel on the rear, they are both 18 x 8JJ +30mm offset. The front hub has a dummy stud (besides the 5 wheel studs) that fits into a pocket in the front OEM wheels. I assume it's there to keep people from rotating the 245's to the front and the 225's to the rear. The rear is just a plain hub so either the front or rear OEM wheel will fit.

The dummy stud is easily removed from the front hub with a wrench (12mm IIRC), so that a rear OEM wheel or an aftermarket wheel can be used.

I'm not sure if your asking a question or not.

Whoever told you the G35 wheels were 18x8.5 doesn't know what they are talking about. The Z wheels are 8.5 in the rear...but that's the Z.

Thanks, sorry if I wasn't clear...I agree that the wheels are 18 x 8JJ +30mm offset. I've seen a number of posts where people said the wheels were wider (a tire dealer also), so I measured my wheels while the tires were off of them: 8" wide from the inside of the outer flange to the inside of the inner flange. According to a wheel designer at Enkei , that method of measuring is the industry standard (see link).

Here's at least one of the posts I saw that leads to a bit of confusion...I also posted in a thread on another board that a tire shop told me the wheels measure 8.5. It bugged me that I might be passing bad info (Internet parrot), so I measured my wheels and shot some pictures showing they were only 8 inches wide.

Hmm that's interesting, I don't know why anyone would think the wheels are 8.5" wide.
