hey guys, i just did my first drag race at irwindale. I ran a 9.571! is that good for a G sedan? i can do better next time. my wheels spun a bit after launch. btw, this is for 1/8 mile. what is everyone else running at?

 

That's pretty good, that's about 14.95 in the 1/4.

Just keep praticing your launch and you can hit in the 8.9s or lower no problem.

 

Is your G35 stock?

 

SoCalTed told me that my 1/4 time is probably about 14.835. 1.55 times the 1/8 time.

my power mods are as follows:
K&N Panel Filter
Z-tube
Stillen Dual exhaust
Kinetix High Flow Cats
Technosquare ECU reflash
Grounding kit

and for the races, I removed my rear seats, my sub, and my spare, BUt i still have lots of sound system wiring in my car.

can I really expect to hit below 8.9?
any tips for a better launch next time?

 

people would need to know how to launched previously to give u tips on how to launch differently....

if you have all that stuff get some nice tires, never hurts
