Default Acura TL A-spec Vs. G35

Which one would you rather have? I just saw an A-SPEC at the Acura dealership and it looked pretty badass. They wanted $43k for it.

I know the new G35 has more hp, and cheaper... so, if it's price and performance you are after, then go for G35. If it's bodykit you are after, then go for Acura TL A-spec

A-spec TL is not worth the money. You figure for that price, you can get a fully G35c or sedan for a bit less money. But it all depends on the person's taste i guess

Acura TL A-Spec looks nice but with 270 HP & FWD? TQ steer! No thanks.

If Honda wanted to come out with a performance car, they should have gone with RWD with that much HP.

Acura is chasing Audi, where as Infiniti is chasing BMW.
I don't see Acura coming out with a RWD any time soon.
I have to admit the car does look hot. But, not for that price.

How is Acura chasing AUDI? Acura = FWD, AUDI = QUATRO. I get the RWD comarison between Infiniti and BMW, but the Acura / AUDI comparison... where did that come from?

I saw the TL A-spec at the dealer when we were buying my girl's TSX, and i was very impressed with it. it looks nice, and the interior is great. i have heard that they are having problems with them, and the G sedan is faster.

A-spec is a joke IMO. If I were buying a TL, id rather use that extra $$ to put on my own mods.

Alot of Audi A4's (B6) are purchased with front-wheel drive.
They have never competed well with 3 series in the same price range because it lacks the RWD prowness of the BMW.

The AWD Quattro, I believe is FWD biased w/ rear wheel assist kinda like the Haldex. I don't know if they're the same system.

The new Acura RL's awd system is going to be pretty similar. FWD with rearwheel assist. Still coined AWD though.

So you can say they sort of compare.

I love my G but I want my parents to get a TL. I can't talk them into the G35X becuase they don't like the looks of the sedan.

G definitely. The A-Spec package is mostly just a body kit.
