I think that STi has a lot better handling than the G and the Z. STi has a later acceleration of .90g on average whereas the G has .85.

.85 sounds a bit low, unless you're talking about a Sedan. I have heard in the range of .87-.89(on average) for the G Coupe/Z.

Down_shift the MR has suspension upgrades that enable it to widen the gap between the STi also the 6 speed does a bit to help out. The weight difference between the MR and the VIII is only something like 20# so it's not a factor.

My point is the MR is a more complete car than the VIII and STi, it's not all about straight line acceleration.
