Default Single Turbo

Soo there are no single turbos for the G35 right? do you know of any company thats making them? most people with the TT kits never tap the true potential of the TT so why buy it if there were a ST..
Will APS's ST make it to the G35?

thanks alot
peACE.

The Turbonetics system is already out and the APS single is due anytime now....as they are taking orders.

Check out the FI forums.....

APS makes a supplement kit to fit the G35, I have bought the APS single turbo kit for my G, but it wont be here until next month.

Let us know how you like it once it's on!

I just have never seen a single turbo set up that I was happy with on a V motor......

The single works great on an inline....but on a v, the inherent lag is a killer.

It spools up and then ....BAM you get a rush of power....not a smooth controllable delivery. FIne for straight line drag racing but not cool in the twisties.

But maybe they have it figured out by now.....good luck.

the turbochargers themselves make a huge diff. for exampl:
the greddy turbochargers are kind of old tech compared to the Garett turbochargers which spool faster live longer and hold more power..

you cannot have a single turbo on a v6 b/c it is a v-block needing two exhaust manifolds

You can have the two turbo manifolds feed one turbo, resulting in a single turbo. You may want to visit the Forced Induction forum for examples.

I wouldn't say lag is a problem. I'm getting full boost at 3200 with my Turbonetics Single turbo kit and thats about where the TT kits are getting theirs

Both kit's turbos spool up soon + you have a high compression motor with a lot of torque down low, so lag isn't a problem.

Quick, better call the Buick Division of GM and tell them they did the impossible in the Turbo Regals, AKA Gran Nationals, those are 3.8 V-6 single Turbo motors.

I am pretty sure there is a guy that has a single turbo G35. If I see him at the meet I will take a pic of it for you. Its a coupe though, is that okay?

Wow.
With our weak as$ rods, the motor can't handle any form of FI at its max.
