Thinking about Trading G for M3

At least Infinti customer service is top notch. Bimmer service is not the greatest.
it might be a good idea to at least wait till the new M3 is released to see how that affects the current models prices...it would suck to buy now and then watch all those current m3 owners unloading their cars at way lower prices b/c they want the new one.

We sat there a little bit and price shopped to see what the average is on both cars. I've searched for m3s but I dont see anything below 40k with that low miles unless its ebay.. not to confident about ebay. But then again i've never bought anything off ebay.
but i appreciate the feed back, it is around my budget.. The driving experience is awesome on it. Dont get me wrong I love the G. But its no comparison to the M in performance.
you guys have experiences with the Bmw?

Tell you what, ebay is not the cheapest place to buy cars, and also not the most unreliable way to buy a car either. The price you got form the dealer is a bit on the high side imo. Shop around and better yet, sell your car privately like someone else has already mentioned. Although they gave you good trade-in price, they will rob you on the new car's price.
Good luck for whatever you end up buying,.
I love BMWs...a have 2 friends who bought new 325s and another friend who bought a 04 M3...they all love it at first...until they run into electrical problems in a year or 2. I dont think the 04 has said anything yet but I know my friend who bought a 02-03 has issues. If they got their reliability fixed, I'd be all over them.
Guys I think i'm going to get it... I hear about 50/50 on the reliabity on the car. But some of us need to go ahead and get what we want. Honestly the M was my first choice. But it was a little out of my price range. Of course this was 2 years ago when i was fresh out of college. Not saying I make a ton of money now. But I truely want the M. I've also heard 50% say its a little too high and the other 50% says its about right. I've looked on auto trader. Ebay.. prices usually range on AVERAGE about 40 for this year and miles. I haven't bought the car or committed yet. But I think i'm 80% closer to getting it. My Dad and his best are mechanics so labor not to much worried about. of course parts can be pricey. But i'm going to take a chance. Wish me luck
just get the M... A friend of mine recently just bought an 05 in a carbon metallic black(looks like twilight blue) and I test drove it, I really don't think its as smooth as our Gs imo, but its one hell of a nice car. Just do as you feel.
I'd buy the M without a doubt. I love my G35 coupe, but the M is just special to me. Good luck with it. I'm sure you'll love it.
Think about getting an extended warranty for it though, since the car has been known to have issues.

Well,
I did the same thing. I sold my G35 and bought an M. Pretty much the G35 was my second choice and the M was my first. But I couldn't afford the M at that time. But after awhile I could and I found a killer deal. 2003 Fully loaded M3 Cab. Only 34K miles with 100K bumper to bumper warranty and 100K maintence.
Here is some early pics:

Nice ride Ray are those STMs? those are the same wheels i have 19'10.5s in the back?..
Your car looks good. Though the one i'm interested in is not a convert. I've had a convertible in the past but the weather here is too Humid and HOT that only at night or certain seasons you can put it down.
Ya the one i'm looking at looks just like yours hard top with blk int 6spd

There are adaptors but they will make your wheels stick out of the fender, they are almost like spacers with studs on them. I would not recommend them. I would sell your wheels separate and use the money to buy even better ones like DPEs.
