Which accelerates faster?

I'm wondering if now with the bump in power up to 300 hp if the g35 could outperform the 350z in acceleration or is the Z still faster? I'm currently trying to decide between the two cars and this would really push me closer to the coupe if it were in fact as fast or faster than the Z now.

G is heavier, which makes the Z the winna. All a drivers race though!

Ray,
IMHO, the G is a better looking car overall, with a nicer interior and sunroof. As far as faster goes, it is a driver's race. I have beaten both a Z and G easily.

All said don't think you can go wrong with either car. Both look great and with a little/no mods are a blast to drive.

 

I think with everything being equal, Z is a bit faster due to the lighter weight. but everything is never equal in real life. So its a drivers race.
Gcoupe actually handles a little better as it has better slalom and skidpad numbers than the Z, but again, on the track its still a drivers race.

personally i think, if u're going to drop 35k+, G is a much better choice over a similarly priced Z, better bang for the buck. But at the same time you can get a Z for much cheaper than that.

You know the G35 is the "LUXURY" version of your car right? So if its a thirty something CIVIC... what does that make your car???

Instead of spending YOUR thirty something on a car that drives really fast, you could have bought a car with a luxury ride, leather seats that seats 4 people AND has a 3.5L engine with 280 HP.

Oh I get it... you want to drive really fast to work... in traffic... =D
