The turbos are off now getting balanced.
BTW there was nothing wrong with the motor... it doesn't smoke after taking the TT out.
Goodluck.

Great work. Hopefully all goes well.

Yeah it was definitely the turbo seals from the start....and never do a breather filter because it can cause floating....use the catch can

it is a lower plenum

any part of an intake is a plennum whether its the upper lower mid,

intake manifold ~ plenum

Issue resolved. Turbos were seeing too much oil pressure and I got a greddy Oil filter block adapter and it dropped the pressure just enough for the turbos to start working fine.

By what definition???? According to Nissans it is a manifold and no plenum. Plenum is a collector of such manifold simply distributes

Glad to hear you finally got it figured out.

It was nice talking to you at Moe's. Here's a pic of my car since you couldn't remember.

Good talking to you too Ryan... I remember your car now! How do you like that bumper? I wanna get something that shows off the greddy front mount a little better.

03zcarfl: Sorry car is no longer for sale. I was drooling over an M3 until I test drove it and thought it was way too slow and it didn't impress me at all.
I'll keep you informed if I have a change of heart but it will be hard to find a car that can compare.

My car didn't really need anything done to make it run. Its actually running alot better that it ever was before. 371whp w/o the nitrous n-tercooler engaged. The NOS adds 50hp. Before I had the turbos rebuilt, it was pushing 320whp w/o Nos because I had so many exhaust leaks it wasn't even funny.
Now everything is done right and I couldn't be happier.

Now I just wanna hit the track and spray hopefully hitting 421WHP and see what I can run.

you gonna flip the 10,000+ to turbo it? Plus G parts are quasi cheap and Nissan equivalent. Break a VQ and drop 1500 on a salvaged one... Break the M and cry yourself 2 sleep.

My apologies for getting into this thread so late. Second, I'm glad you solved your problem. Last, I was curious as to what kind of oil pressure caused the problem, do have have an idea of what psi the problem started occuring at and how can you prevent a reoccurence of the same problem?

Since its a G35 and not a 350z I didn't have the stock oil pressure gauge to monitor it from the start when I had JUST installed the kit for the very first time.

I decided to get the gauge and the greddy oil filter block adapter much later when the smoke problem really became a nuisance.

Peak oil pressure I read on my greddy gauge was about 110psi. When I installed the oil filter block adapeter, the pressure dropped just enough for the turbos not to leak. Now I've been thinking of getting an oil cooler to further drop the pressure because even though the smoke was gone, I was still getting a light Haze and I wanna make sure all that is cleared up. Plus cooling the oil will only help in every way.

I'm positive that by getting the right oil restrictors and placing them in the turbo oil pressure lines you can solve the problem once and for all.

I'm a G35 also. I've seen oil pressure on my car from 18 psi to 100+psi depending on if the oil is hot or cold and if the car is under hard acceleration or just at idle.

Are you running in the 80 psi or so (peak) range now that you've done all the other work?

I'm not running it at all now since I just recently blew the motor.

But 80psi was common under some acceleration but higher at WOT

awesome first post...

[sarcasm]
I am so confused why someone would buy a 35k car and spend 10k+ modding it when they can just buy a 50k car and spend 20k+ modding and have a way faster car... and a m3 to boot since its the perfect sports car.

But why do a TT M3 when you can get a 2006 z06 vette and build a TT kit for it
[/sarcasm]

a vette?? ummmm no. I respect Detroit Muscle but would never buy one.
Ugly dashes, unsophisticated interiors, and bad gas mileage is for ppl with deep pockets and low standards.
Plus, getting a 3 some started requires a car that can carry more than 2 ppl. =)
