Default Anyone paint their Plenum?

I want to paint my plenum and was wondering if anyone has done it (pics?).

What kind of paint did you use? What kind of prep?

I was thinking of cleaning it with paint thinner and then use some sandpaper to clean it up a bit more. Would High temp spray paint work ? I want something that can hold up in high temps because I do track my car in the summer

just for you, ed, i just went to my garage 3 flights down to get the can. I was wrong. the vht i used on my stock exhaust to clean it up, when i had it on my car. It had a temp tolerance of like 1500`F. On my plenum, i used "dupli-color engine enamel with ceramic, heat tested to 500`F". Color is aluminum, #DE1615. The stock plenum tends to get grimey over time, so i scrubbed the exterior clean w/ a degreaser and put a few coats of this paint on it. Shined it up real nice and gives it a more glossy color than stock.
we left-coast tainos gotta stick together.

If you want it polished aluminum why would you paint it instead of just polishing it? Mine is polished to a mirror finish.
