Stupid question but do you have to be current military to qualify or can retired ( my father ) get that discount?

I remember asking you about during that one meet that ended up at red robins. Not sure what it takes to qualify, but I know of some people in the U.S. who have gotten the discount. If you qualify, then sell the Z and get a M3. The 335 surely has lots of potential, but as of right now, I still think a M3 is more car than a 335.

As far as I know, the program is only available to Active Duty Military stationed overseas. If I hear otherwise though I'll post the information. The savings is pretty significant. It's usually 4 - 5K off MSRP and of course you can usually avoid paying any sales tax.

I think for the m3 is was close to 6k off, maybe close to 7k. When I was looking, they told me to just fill out the form saying i was in the region but take delivery in the states. Anyone have a stars and stripes on them, lol.

Not really, the 335 would leave your a$$ behind. These things are a beast. Maybe the next gen Z or G coupe will be able to top it.

Crazy. The 42k I was quoted was with nothing, lol. Everything is an option on an m3 right? Nothing really comes standard?

really? how many 335's have you driven/raced? I think its a little preemptive to be saying that. especially when the faster e46 m3 can be beaten by a 350z with a superior driver.

Sorry but after all the arguements on this forum over young people buying Z's etc I cant believe you went out of the way to make a sig saying that you bought yours yourself. Who cares? IF you feel the need to defend yourself to people on a forum then thats sad. But yeah I think that is pretty egotistical to put that on your sig.

My 2 cents

Obviously you care enough, that you had to make an OT post Why don't you go bother all the people who post their 1/4 mile times, or their whp, or all the mods they have? They are proud of what they have done, just like I am proud of what I have done. Just like you said, who cares?

Now thats MY 2 cents. Lol, sorry to be OT.

Yep, everything is an option on the M3 including leather seats, bi-xenon headlamps, premium sound system (even that comes stock on the 330ci).

The 335i in top end should be a very brutal car. Im thinking of going with one, but Im waiting to see what the 2009 Z will look like. I think Im going to stick with the Z big time though. Though I really cant figure out why BMW can bring a twin turbo car for 40K and Nissan cant, just doesnt make any sense.

So, in theory, you could get an M3 with NO options and it would weigh and Sh@t load less.... like and M3 RS... lol, thats an AWESOME idea. Someone do that!

Doesnt the CSL have things that regular M3 does not though, besides less weight?

The CSL has better brakes and lot of weight reduction, but I don't think there are any other enhancements. I'm pretty sure that the engine output and suspension is the same. The price is much higher though.
