Default I seriously need help... F.I. question

Okay no flamming... im still somewhat new to the whole infiniti world. Ive owned my 2003 OB Coupe 6mt for about a year now and as ive said in other posts im thinking of going FI. I came from the dsm ( turboed eclipses and talons ) into the infiniti world. I love my car and literally everything about it but just miss the boost lol. I bought my car used with 36,xxx on it and i currently have 52,xxx miles on it. I am HIGHLY thinking of purchasing this kit from a fellow G member

and need your opinions on it guys. I know no one will be able to tell me if it is going to be 100% safe for my car or not but for those who have boosted their cars please any help would be great. Im going to also post this thread on the my350z forum as well. I would love to go with the Vortech s.c but im not a big fan of the whining noise it has... im more the sound of a turbo spooling fan lol. If anyone has pics of their setup and how their fmic looks from the outside with their aftermarket front bumpers and underhood shots THAT WOULD BE AUSOME! Thanks for taking the time to read this and help me out guys!

Kenny

been FI for almost a year.. no major problems so far
1st one was AC line melted; i had gotten a new ac line and re-routed it.. works great now...
2nd was my kit was the eighth kit sold in the US to come out; a pipe connected to the wastegate caused a boost leak.. (it had a small crack in the flex pipe)

I NEVER TURNED THE BOOST UP... SO I NEVER HAD ANY INTERNAL PROBLEMS.. ALSO ALWAYS USED SYNTHETIC CHANGED EVERY 3K M.

***EDIT***

WASTEGATE SIGNAL/VACUME LINE CAME OFF---- OVERBOOSTED AND BLEW/MELTED A PISTON OR RING.. ****!!!!!
GOING WITH A SLEEVED PE-TT SOON

Couple of observations:
1. The price seems fair.
2. You should ask him why he has a new turbo. Why does he have the extra turbo that TN sent him?
3. You need a fuel management system. I believe the newer TN kits come with something, don't depend on the reflash to keep your engine safe.
4. Running moderate boost with stock internals and a good fuel management system, the VQ should be relatively OK. I say this with the consideration that you are trying to FI a NA engine and you could always run into issues without lowering the compression and building the bottom end.
