Seriously, I forgot I registered to this site. I have been researching G35/350Z's for a while. I am a big Nissan fan. It's nice to actually have a

Thats crazy. Now I know my car is not a normal G35. No premium package ($2K) but they sure are proud of their used G35's at those prices. Good thing I didn't want a sunroof.
no way anyone would buy a used g with 44k miles for over $30k. were you there with the purchase or did he tell you he bought it at that price...if he was trying to lie to say the car cost more you should slap him for being tricked

Yeah, my out the door was a little higher than most, because I let them talk me into the 100,000 mile warranty, which seems pretty good in my book, but before paying the shipping (dealer locate) and the other aftermarket mine was $34,700 or something like that... 6mt coupe w/ prem package..
I got my 06' with 2 miles on it fully loaded (except I didn't get the 6spd, not by choice, needed a car now and they didn't have one on the lot or anywhere in town) but other than that got the 19 wheels, nav, everything for 39k... I have a relative who works there though so I kinda got a hook up
I picked up my G in Dec '05. 2006 coupe premium, sport, nav, bluetooth, etc. LOADED with every option except for active steering and I was out the door for $36,800 (including tax, title, tags, dealer fees).
A few things to think about when buying a new car:
1. NEVER pay MSRP. Dealers make plenty of money and you can always negotiate.
2. ALWAYS get your own financing. Dealer finance offices love to rape you no matter what your credit looks like. It'll also save you time at the dealership.
3. Do your homework. Know what options you want up front. Every detail. Then search dealer inventories to find a match. If you have to drive another 20 minutes to get to a dealer that has your "perfect" car, then do it. Otherwise, it's a haggle-fest between you and a salesman.
4. Speaking of haggling. The salesman knows exactly what he can and can't mark off of a car. If he says, "I got to check with the manager..." he's jerkin' you off (and not in a nice way). It's important to know what you want upfront and let the salesman know YOUR terms. If he tries to give you a run-around, go to another dealership.

Anyway, sorry to be so long with this, but I hate to see somebody get hosed. I always try to remember that the automotive industry is shady at best. Just food for thought.

Tell me if this is a good deal:
04 G35, 44,000 miles, leather seats, power everything, moon-roof, 6-speed, 18 inch alloys, brembo brakes, the works.
After everything was said and done, $36,000
I got my 03 Performance trim 350z with 30,000 miles for $23,995, and sure it doesn't have all that crazy **** but goddamn, 12,000 is a big difference in price. Did he get jipped?
I drove it, and the cars felt very similar, except the G felt very sluggish. You couldn't even chirp second gear. I assume this is from the sheer weight of the vehicle, but I could never justify swapping power for comfort.
