Default Friend got a G, good deal?

Warning up front: No pics yet. Literally got it tonight so night shots are all I have.

Tell me if this is a good deal:

04 G35, 44,000 miles, leather seats, power everything, moon-roof, 6-speed, 18 inch alloys, brembo brakes, the works.

After everything was said and done, $36,000

I got my 03 Performance trim 350z with 30,000 miles for $23,995, and sure it doesn't have all that crazy **** but goddamn, 12,000 is a big difference in price. Did he get jipped?

I drove it, and the cars felt very similar, except the G felt very sluggish. You couldn't even chirp second gear. I assume this is from the sheer weight of the vehicle, but I could never justify swapping power for comfort.

Serious, yea. He didn't try to haggle, either. I wish I was there when he bought it.

Back in Sept '03 that car listed for $34K. Crazy to pay that for a 3 year old car with 44K miles on it. We'll at least it's a nice car at any price. ;-)

Was your friend walking funny after he bought the car?!?!? Man he got raped badly. That's a horrible deal. It never ceases to amaze me how people either don't do their research or they desparately want to get into a car they don't qualify for either $$$ wise or credit issues.

He is lying to you! lol. No way someone would even try to sell it at that price. He just wants to make you think he paid more than he did...buy a nismo license plate frame and than tell him he should of got the nismo edition G35 for 37K instead, haha!

I think he over paid, I've seen 04 G's go for mid to high 20's at the most.

Well even if he was lying I wouldn't be surprised at what some people would do. My GF's friend just bought a 03 G35 coupe auto with 56k miles for $33k. She wrecked her TC and was desperate to get a new car. When she told me I nearly slapped her across her face and called her stupid.

So.. I guess my $89,500 asking price for my Z is too much? I figure $28k for the car (it's TT), and the rest for the sort of cult following that surrounds my car. I once saw Oprah drive by when i was at a stop light. Ya, i know! I'm kinda famous.

WTF? Didn't your buddy check used car prices before he bought? Unless he paid cash, I can't believe a bank would loan him the money because if he defaults, they aren't going to get but maybe half that back.
