I'm not very familiar with the G35 Infinity but have seen a white G35 coupe in York, PA with what appear to be 20" chrome wheels and the rear insignia says "Skyline". (right in the middle of the trunk lid) I thought "Skyline" was the name of the 350Z in Japan and had nothing to do with the G35 coupe. Can anyone out there explain this to me?

 

the nissan 350gt skyline = infiniti g35 from what I understand.
nissan fairladyZ = nissan 350z

 

I am not sure and have done no research on this. But I believe that the G35 was the skyline in japan and the 350 was just the Z33 wasn't it? Im not sure but I don't think the Z was ever the Skyline in Japan.

 

350z=fairlady z
g35=skyline

 

^everyone's correct, and Z33 is the chassis code for the 350Z.

 

I'm old and a little senile so is this G35 with "Skyline" on the trunk lid a hybrid or a G35 imported directly from Japan? As I've seen lots of G35 coupes that just have the word "Infiniti" on the trunk lid.

 

^ People just rebadge the infinity w/ Skyline. Just like some Z members rebadge their Z's as fairlady's

 

exactly. z32->z33 is the progression of the Z

R34->V35->V36 is the progression of the skyline

 

I almost bought that car, it is tan/silver with top secret body kit, seibon carbon fiber ts hood. It is really nice.
