I'm sure you've already seen benefits of being in shape, but now that the 160 limit is over with, are you gonna try and beef up, stay trim... etc? I sure hope you don't see this as an excuse to let it all go again and put the weight back on... obesity has run rampant in the US
I was fat once, and I don't ever want to go back.

Congratulations on a beautiful car. You got something that's practical with a fun factor. :-)

The only person here that deserves props is your dad for following through with his word. You should be healthy on your own accord and be ashamed that it took a $30k bribe to encourage better health.
nice car man...but im 5'9 and 159 pounds is way too thin! Time to gain 20 or so pounds of muscle and you will look a lot better/healthier.
I went from 320 pounds to 160 and people thought I was way too think and looked a little sick. Even though I felt fine. I hit the gym, and im around 185 now and I look pretty buff, healthier.

Man nice job and nice ride. Skip the people who are hating because if I had it like that I would spoil my kid a little bit as well. You and your dad made a wager, and that did what your dad set out to do. That was to give you the tools and willpower to live a healthy lifestyle. It also made you set a realistic and obtainable goal, just like going to school and getting your degree. Now don't slack off, and keep up the good work ...enjoy your ride.
I was heavy all through High School. So I know how it is. I am 6'2" 205 and it's more of a challenge to stay in shape now because I'm older but the Air Force does a great job at keeping me in shape. LOL

hmm, 213 - 160 = 53 lbs
and let's say the car was 30k out the door... (pure fantasy here)
so 30,000/53...
means your parents paid you roughly 566$ for every pound lost...
Jenny Craig ain't got sht on you brotha

My normal weight would otherwise be around 175 -180 and I agree looks better to the average person. (When you're a very fit distance runner it doesn't though.
) However 170's doesn't necessarily mean more healthy which is what I was originally stating. More muscular if you're buff but more healthy - no. I'm more healthy at 150.
