I am an official g37 hater/lover. i saw it i wasnt pleased. i drove my buddys 6mt sport, i was pleased. photoshop with some wheels lowered, looked amazing. i still love my 03's *** ten times more. but the little things in the new one make it worth it at the end of the day.

The base model's front bumper looks more aggressive and faithful to the G coupe heritage. But the rear of the car and the added weight make my peepee move in the wrong direction.

I think you have to be somewhat blind to confuse it for the Altima Coupe... I've seen both in person. There's absolutely no comparison.

And for its competition, it is very nicely priced.

But either way, I still much prefer my 2006 G35 Coupe 6MT. Only if I could have its big brakes, interior, and VQ37VHR

.

About the VQ37VHR part... I asked Sam at GTM about the feasibility of a VQ37VHR swap in another thread. He said that the deck height of the HR motors is significantly taller and that there would likely be hood clearance issues. He had a customer with an '07 Z try to put an aftermarket hood for an '06 and said the fitment wasn't even close.

G35>G37 Just my opinion... I know the new HR motor, increased displacement, future potential, blah blah blah side of the arguement, but I still have a thing for the gen 1 G35's. I just think they look more unique, while the G37 looks more subtle and follows lines related to other cars (Solara, Pontiac coupe, etc...). I have an '06 G coupe and IMHO, the '06/'07 were awesome years for that car. Looks, interior, options, performance, handling - all excellent.

The follow up is just a bit of a let down to me.

When the G35C first came out, there was nothing really like it.

Can't say the same with the G37. The thing looks pretty big in person...like a huge boat of a coupe.

I think the gen 1 G35 will be the best much like the 95-99 turbo eclipse was the best. Everything since the gst/gsx has been super lame.

i drove the g37 and 335i back to back. the 335i had gobs of torque (the little turbo lag a little annoying) but felt too much body roll...i can feel that if i let the rear wag it would cut loose too much. the G37 was grabbing the corners and felt firm without the harsh ride. at 330hp it's no M3, but it's not trying to be. definately for older folks like me. it does look a lot better in person (for some reason the car isn't very photgenic)...but it's better than the G35 in everyway.

I saw the G37 in person and I like it...overall the car is for the Luxury market person. But modded with suspension and a tt, it would be a good sleeper.
