Default tire recommendation

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend who owns an '06 G35c with the OEM 19" wheels. He's looking for new tires. I am helping him research but I'm not finding many choices in the stock sizes 225/40/19 and 245/40/19.

Any recommendations on tires? Any other common tire sizes that G35c owners typically change to? Thanks for your help.

what's the budget? 19"s are pretty expensive.
i ordered mine from onlinetires.com last month, they got excellent prices. Their Nittos are great. Have fun shopping.

I also have the 19" wheels on my '06 G35 coupe. I have been happy with the performance and treadwear of the Bridgestone RE050A that came with the car. I have over 29,000 miles on them and I think the grip has been superior to the 18" Michelin Pilot Sport tires that came with my '04 G35 coupe.

That being said... If your friend doesn't want to go with RE050A's again, there are a couple awsome tires I would recommend if your friend is willing to pay.

Both the Michelin Pilot Sport2 and the Yokohama ADVAN Sport are available in OEM sizes.

Here is the link to Discount Tire search results for an '06 G35 coupe with 19" wheels:

I would stay away from the first gen Pilot Sport and go with the Pilot Sport2 (PS2) instead.

I am getting PS2's installed on my iForged wheels that just arrived, but not in OEM sizes. I'm getting 255/35-19 front & 305/30-19 rear.
