Man! I saw a Skyline 350GT in Irving TX yesterday!!!
It looks just like Infinity G35... Where can I get some specs on this car???

 

are you sure it wasn't just a g35 with different badges on it?? someone could have easily taken off all the infinity badges and put on nissan ones. how did you know it was a skyline??

 

It more than likely was a G35. The Skyline is basicly a G35 with Nissan badges on it. I could be wrong but from the pictures I've seen that's what it is.

 

When I saw it, my wife said isn't that the infiniti G35? I said I think so.. As I got closer, I couldn't believe it. On the back it said SKYLINE and top right corner it says 350GT, GT in RED. It looks exactly like the G35 with enthouisast rims. I looked in side of it and it had a motorized screen that pops up, either NAV or sound control (factory, not aftermarket). Before I can get the driver's attention, light turned green and he took off. Unfortunately, I was in my wife's honda and couldn't catch up. I'm sure I'll run into him again when I'm in my REDLINE. But anyways, what's the spec on this car? I tried searching in the web but its all in jiberish language...

 

I didn't see the NISSAN Bagde and unfortuately, I couldn't see the front of the car that well....

 

the g35 has a screen in it that pops up for the navigation. and it's very easy to replace the badges with skyling badges. just look how many people on this forum replace the 350Z badge with the fairlady badge. i woul dhave to lean towards it being a g35.

 

Exactly! Your 150% sure? Then was the driver in the driver or passenger side? All skylines are right hand drive.

 

You know, I'm only stating what I SAW. If you feel i';m Bullsh#ting, then thats fine. I'm ONLY stating what I saw. Now, If you are VERY AWARE and KNOW your SKYLINE, then good for you. What amases me is that by me staing this or if you feel I;m lying, especially "right side driving only" and things like that, WHAT DO I HAVE TO GAIN BY LIEING TO YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know what I saw and thats that..... For this reason, I was asking where I can get spec on this car so that I TOO CAN GET INFO ON THIS CAR TO VARIFY WHAT I SAW WAS TRULY SKYLINE 350GT!!!!!

I think the driver was on the Left. the driver was, i would say around in his mid to late 50's. If the driver was young or looks like someone who would do mods, I can see him faking it but this guy was in his suit, older fellow with very old lady, mom perhaps in the passenger side.

 

if he was on the left....like everyone here said...it's a infinity g35. if he was on the right though...then it would be a skyline.

 

I really don't think that anyone is saying that your lying. Just the g35 and skyline is the same car and basically has the same spec. Several G owners have bought the skyline emblems from japan and put them on there car. Bottom line is if the car is right hand drive it is a skyline if not it is a G regardless of what the badges say. Sorry if you took offense to my reply, meant no harm.

You know, when you import, you can make a rhd car into a lhd, but then buying it from japan would be useless. . .

 

The last generation Skyline was too expensive for Nissan to import it the US with a left hand drive conversion but it's a real possibility with the new G35.

You might have seen one based on the oblivion's post about the Skyline on the Nissan website, but we'll have to wait for a translation to see if it is the real thing or if in Japan they are marketing the entire G35 line as Skylines.

You also might have seen a rebadged G35.

 

I really dont see what the arguing is about, its the exact same car, ones lhd, ones rhd, but other than that the same car.

are you all serious? the g35 and skyline are not even remotely the same in specs. most importantly the skyline is awd, turbo charged, and is as mentioned a right hand side drive car. please, please never ever repeat the sentence that the g35 and skyline are basically the same car. they are not even close not only in styling but also in performance and build.

 

is the new generation skyline awd or turbocharged? and if not so then why buy one as opposed to the last generation r34 that im thinking of.
