I'm just going to tell him tomorrow I refuse to pay anything more than a even swap..considering mine does have lower mileage, and auto's do sell better.

 

personally that wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. most people end up paying several thousands to swap from an auto to a manual - and their route of action is much more difficult too..

 

A straight trade would sound fair to me.

 

^That is very true. It all comes down to how much you want that manual gearbox. The transfer fee is a small price to pay for many years of future happiness. However, I would get a carfax and try to get a maintenance history on the car you're trading before you trade. It looks like yours is in very good condition and it'd suck if the other car broke down on you a few weeks after the trade or something.

People the G35 Manual has: It has the sport package with better wheels and front bumper. well worth the small fee and the miles shouldn't be a problem if the car you want has a decent maint. history. No need to be JEWISH, dealers usually don't cave, they have the market place on their lot & I am sure others are also looking at this car.

 

yes they are very unlikely to cave on one of the most attractive cars on their lot. still, worth trying.
